Kollam, March 11 -- Kerala Transport Minister K.B. Ganesh Kumar suffered a major legal setback today as the Kotarakkara Judicial Magistrate Court rejected his plea to suspend proceedings in the politically sensitive solar conspiracy case until after the upcoming Assembly elections.
Ganesh Kumar had sought a temporary halt, arguing that ongoing court proceedings and witness testimonies could be politically exploited during the election campaign.
His counsel, Advocate Sudheer Jacob, claimed that the case involved manipulated documents, including extra pages attached to the complainant's letter, intended to falsely implicate former Chief Minister Oommen Chandy.
