Thiruvananthapuram, July 16 -- Kerala Coir Minister Ramesh Chennithala has presented the Tamil translation of Kayar, the iconic novel by legendary Malayalam writer Thakazhi Sivasankara Pillai, to Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Joseph Vijay during their meeting in Chennai, conveying Kerala's warmth and cultural heritage through one of the state's most celebrated literary works.
Chennithala here today said the choice of Kayar was deeply symbolic. Alappuzha, the district he represents, has been inseparably linked with the coir industry for centuries.
