Palakkad, Aug. 22 -- The Kerala High Court has directed strict measurement of desilted material kept at Chulliyar Dam and ordered that only 2,25,830.17 cubic metres of the material be removed, warning against any undue benefit to the petitioner and consequential loss to the State exchequer.
The direction was issued in an order dated August 20 in W.P.(C) No. 25568 of 2026, M/s. Koothradans Infrastructure LLP v. State of Kerala & Others. The Court noted that both the petitioner and the respondents had stated that 2,25,830.17 cubic metres of material was currently available at the site.
