Thiruvananthapuram, July 15 -- The Kerala Government and GTech, the industry association of IT companies in the State, have initiated an emergency intervention following the mass layoffs at CorroHealth, announcing a coordinated effort to help the affected employees secure jobs in other IT firms.

The decision was announced after a meeting between Minister for Industries and IT P. K. Kunhalikutty and GTech representatives to address the crisis.

Addressing a press conference here, the Minister said GTech had assured the government that it would take all necessary measures to facilitate the re-employment of the maximum number of retrenched employees in member IT companies.
