Thiruvananthapuram, Oct. 9 -- Kerala has completed 568 of the 588 projects targeted under the state government's first 100-day action plan, achieving 96.8 per cent completion, Chief Minister V.D. Satheesan said on Friday.

The remaining 20 projects had reached 90 per cent completion, he said, announcing a state-wide file clearance drive, 'Janasparsham', from October 15 to December 31 to dispose of long-pending files across government departments and address the reasons behind administrative delays.

The Cabinet has also approved the Department for Senior Citizens Bill, which will be presented in the Assembly session beginning October 12, the Chief Minister said at a press conference following the Cabinet meeting.
