Thiruvananthapuram, June 24 -- Kerala Chief Minister V.D. Satheesan has written to the Chief Ministers of Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Puducherry, proposing a joint strategy to crack down on interstate drug trafficking by strengthening coordination among the neighbouring states as part of the state government's intensified anti-narcotics drive, Operation Toofan.

In the letter, the Chief Minister said Kerala is stepping up Operation Toofan with intelligence-led enforcement measures aimed at eliminating the spread of narcotic drugs, dismantling trafficking syndicates, breaking their financial networks and confiscating assets acquired through illegal drug trade.
