Thiruvananthapuram, June 3 -- Calling drug abuse and trafficking the gravest social challenge confronting Kerala, Chief Minister V.D. Satheesan has urged the entire society to unite behind "Operation Thoofan: The Narco Hunt," a comprehensive anti-narcotics campaign aimed at eliminating the drug menace from the state.
The Chief Minister said the future and progress of any society depend on its youth, and drug mafias are systematically targeting young people, undermining the state's social and economic development.
