Thiruvananthapuram, April 7 -- Elaborate security arrangements have been completed across Kerala for the upcoming Assembly elections, with more than 76,000 police personnel deployed to ensure a smooth and incident-free polling process.

In a bid to strengthen surveillance and coordination, the entire state has been divided into special security zones, with senior officers leading operations, State Police Chief Ravada A. Chandrasekhar said.

Police infrastructure has been reorganised into 154 election sub-divisions, functioning under the supervision of district police chiefs.
