Thiruvananthapuram, June 9 -- Kerala Tourism Minister P.C. Vishnunath has said that a series of diversified tourism development projects will be implemented in Kollam district with the goal of attracting two million tourists annually while creating employment opportunities and strengthening the local economy.
The minister said the government aims to develop international-standard tourism facilities centred around the scenic Ashtamudi Lake. Modern recreational amenities, including gaming zones designed to appeal to both Generation Z and Generation Alpha visitors, will be established as part of the initiative.
Accommodation facilities will also be enhanced to encourage family tourism and enable visitors to spend more time in the district.
