Kochi, March 7 -- Three persons, including two journalists of Republic TV, were arrested today for allegedly filming the Iranian naval vessel, IRIS Lavan, anchored at Cochin Port.
According to police, reporter C.G. Shankar, cameraman S. Mani, and boat driver P. Vijayakumar were taken into custody after they attempted to capture visuals of the warship from a boat near the harbour area.
Security personnel of the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), which is responsible for port security, detained them and later handed them over to the Harbour Police.
Police said the trio had allegedly violated security regulations that prohibit filming or photographing ships and sensitive installations inside the port area without prior permission. A ...
