Thiruvananthapuram, June 26 -- The Congress-led United Democratic Front (UDF) has decided to move a no-confidence motion against BJP Mayor V.V. Rajesh following the violent clashes that erupted during Thursday's council meeting at Kerala's Thiruvananthapuram Corporation.
The decision was taken at a meeting of UDF councillors chaired by Opposition parliamentary party leader K.S. Sabarinadhan. The opposition alleged that the Mayor had failed to uphold democratic norms and maintain order in the corporation, leading to unprecedented chaos and disruption during the council proceedings.
