Mumbai, May 30 -- Mumbai Police have arrested a Kenyan national who had allegedly been residing illegally in the city for the past 25 years. The arrest was made in the Vakola area following a tip-off regarding the presence of a foreign citizen living in hiding, an official said on Saturday.

Further investigation into the case is being carried out by the Vakola Police Station team.

According to the investigating officer, police received information that a foreign national was staying covertly in the locality. Acting on the intelligence, a team from Vakola Police Station conducted a raid on Friday at a room in Bismillah Saeedi Chawl near Vakola Masjid on Nehru Road in Vakola and apprehended the suspect.
