Hyderabad, July 12 -- Telangana Rakshna Sena (TRS) President Kavitha on Sunday urged the Election Commission of India (ECI) to grant recognition to the proposed Telangana Rakshana Sena (TRS) party and sought copies of the objections filed against its registration.
In a representation submitted to the ECI in compliance with the Delhi High Court's directions, Telangana Rakshana Sena General Secretary Anil Kumar said the Commission had initially allotted the party name on April 28, following which the organisation launched its activities across Telangana. However, it was later informed that nearly 1,000 objections had been received against the proposed registration.
