Hyderabad, Oct. 13 -- Telangana Rakshana Sena (TRS) President Kalvakuntla Kavitha has demanded that the state government restore the mandatory 75 per cent reservation for Scheduled Tribes (STs) in constable posts in Agency areas, alleging that the latest police recruitment notification had ignored the provision.
In a post on X on Tuesday, Kavitha said the reservation was mandated under GO 109 issued in 1988 and Gazette Notification 49 issued in 2018. She pointed out that the quota had been implemented in constable recruitment notifications issued in 2015, 2018 and 2022, but was omitted in the latest notification.
