Hyderabad, May 29 -- Telangana Rakshana Sena (TRS) President Kalvakuntla Kavitha on Friday opposed the proposed Farmers' DISCOM (Rythu DISCOM), alleging that the state government was attempting to "betray farmers" through the move.
Speaking at a public hearing conducted by the Telangana Electricity Regulatory Commission (TGERC) at Erragadda here, Kavitha demanded that similar hearings be held in all 33 districts of Telangana. She said the issue would have a major impact on the future of agriculture in the state.
