Hyderabad, April 25 -- Former MLC Kalvakuntla Kavitha on Saturday formally launched her new political outfit, "Telangana Rashtra Sena (TRS)," at a massive public meeting held at Professor Jayashankar Campus in Munirabad, Medchal district, outlining an ambitious welfare agenda and positioning the party as a new political force in the state.
Announcing the party amid loud cheers from thousands of supporters, Kavitha said she was "sounding the Panchajanyam" to bring about political change in Telangana.
She pledged to govern the state's 3.5 crore people with "a mother's care and compassion," asserting that governance should focus on people's well-being rather than their financial status.
