Hyderabad, Sept. 6 -- Telangana Rakshana Samiti (TRS) president K Kavitha on Sunday demanded immediate dismissal and arrest of a police officer who allegedly made obscene remarks against her on social media, questioning the failure of the police department to register an FIR despite the existence of laws protecting women from such abuse.
Addressing a press conference at the party office in Banjara Hills, Kavitha said merely suspending the officer was insufficient and urged DGP C V Anand to take legal and departmental action.
