Hyderabad, March 15 -- Telangana Jagruthi President Kalvakuntla Kavitha on Sunday accused the Congress government of targeting the poor through the "Hydra" demolition drive while allegedly ignoring violations by influential builders.

Speaking to the media, Kavitha said her organisation had staged a protest against a private construction allegedly coming up within the prohibited zone of the Musi River.

She claimed that despite submitting six complaints with evidence to Hydra officials, no action had been taken.
