Srinagar, Aug. 15 -- The Independence Day was celebrated across Kashmir on Saturday with patriotic fervour, colourful cultural programmes and renewed commitments towards development, youth empowerment and inclusive governance.
The main function in Srinagar was held at Bakhshi Stadium, where Chief Minister Omar Abdullah hoisted the National Flag, inspected the ceremonial parade and took the salute during an impressive march-past by contingents of Jammu and Kashmir Police, security forces and school students.
