Varanasi, Aug. 22 -- Tourism Ministry Secretary Bhuvnesh Kumar has said that Varanasi is one of the country's leading tourist destinations and has immense potential to develop into a globally competitive tourist destination.
Speaking at a half-day workshop organised by the Ministry of Tourism for homestay, bed and breakfast operators, and other stakeholders in the tourism business on Saturday, Mr Kumar said that Varanasi's spiritual and cultural heritage, vibrant traditions, ghats, monuments, food, and diverse experiences make it a unique tourist destination.
