Karuna remembered on his 8th death anniv

Chennai, Aug. 7 -- Floral tributes were paid to former Tamil Nadu CM and DMK patriarch M Karunanidhi on his eighth death anniversary here on Friday.

DMK President and former CM M K Stalin, accompanied by senior party leaders and former Ministers, garlanded Karunanidhi's statue at the Omandurar Government Estate in Chennai and led a silent rally to his memorial on the Marina beach front, where he placed a wreath and paid floral tributes.

The memorial of Karunanidhi was decorated with flowers on the occasion as a large number of DMK cadres who accompanied Stalin also paid rich tributes to the late leader.
