Bengaluru, Aug. 12 -- The Karnataka Transport Department has issued notices to app-based mobility aggregators, including Ola, Uber and Rapido, over alleged violations of government-prescribed fare rules and collection of excess fares from passengers.
The companies have been given seven days to respond to the notices and submit details of the fares being charged, along with relevant supporting documents.
The department has warned that failure to furnish a satisfactory response could invite stringent action, including cancellation of their licences to operate in the state.
