Bengaluru, Aug. 5 -- Karnataka's ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls has flagged more than 1.11 crore electors for verification, underscoring the scale of the exercise to identify voters who are absent, shifted, deceased, registered at multiple locations or require further scrutiny.
The figures, released by Chief Electoral Officer V Anbukumar on Wednesday, show that 1,11,04,705 electors have been categorised under the ASDDO (Absent, Shifted, Dead, Duplicate and Others) classification during the statewide revision, which began on June 30 and will conclude on August 8.
