Bengaluru, July 27 -- Karnataka Chief Minister DK Shivakumar on Monday said the state would strongly press the Centre for drought relief and long-term water solutions at a meeting of the state's Members of Parliament in New Delhi, while confirming that the formalities for the much-awaited Cabinet expansion would be completed this week.
Speaking before leaving for the national capital, Shivakumar said the all-party meeting of Karnataka MPs would focus on securing the Centre's support to tackle the worsening drought situation and critical water-related issues affecting the state.
"We will discuss drought and water issues with all the MPs. Karnataka's concerns have to be placed before the Centre unitedly," he said.
