Bengaluru, Sept. 4 -- The Karnataka government has suspended IAS officer Gyanendra Kumar, who was arrested by the CID in connection with alleged irregularities in the recruitment of veterinary officers through the Karnataka Public Service Commission (KPSC).
The suspension order was issued on Thursday by the Personnel and Administrative Reforms Department, pending further investigation into the case.
The action followed communications from the CID and Enforcement Directorate (ED), which are probing the alleged recruitment scam and have reportedly highlighted Kumar's role in the recruitment process when he was serving as KPSC examination controller.
Kumar was questioned and subsequently arrested by the CID in connection with the case. The ...
