Bengaluru, June 8 -- Karnataka Home Minister Priyank Kharge on Monday directed strict enforcement of age verification across all pubs, bars, breweries, clubs, lounges and restaurants serving alcohol, amid concerns over rising underage drinking in Bengaluru.
He instructed senior police officials to issue notices to all liquor-serving establishments, mandating strict compliance with "No ID, No Entry" norms and warning of stringent action against violations.
The Minister said protecting children and adolescents from alcohol and substance abuse was a priority, adding that commercial establishments must not place profit above public safety.
