Bengaluru, May 25 -- An 18-year-old NEET aspirant from Karnataka, who allegedly committed suicide after the NEET examination was cancelled, had reportedly failed in her Class 12 examinations despite informing her family that she had secured 92 per cent marks, according to officials and family members.
The student, identified as Bhagya Shri, had appeared for the NEET examination on May 2. Weeks later, she was found hanging at her residence.
Her father Rajshekhar said that she had told the family she had passed the second PUC examination with 92 per cent marks after the results were declared on May 21.
"Her NEET exam had also gone well and everything seemed normal. Perhaps she was worried about appearing for NEET again," he said.
