Bengaluru, Sept. 11 -- Karnataka may redeploy its Anti-Naxal Force (ANF) to Tumakuru district if a purported Naxal letter that surfaced in Pavagada is found to be genuine, Deputy Chief Minister G Parameshwara said on Friday, signalling a possible security response to what could be an attempt to revive extremist activity in the state.
A Telugu-language letter demanding Rs 5 lakh was found on the agricultural land of Kuntla Bhushappa at Gangasagara village in Pavagada taluk. The letter is allegedly issued in the name of "Comrade Devanna Dalam" of the People's War Janashakti Party.
