Bengaluru, March 24 -- Children in Karnataka may soon be limited to just one hour of mobile and recreational screen time a day under a new draft digital well-being policy unveiled by the state government.
The initiative seeks to tackle rising concerns over screen addiction and its impact on children's mental and physical health.
Prepared by the Department of Health and Family Welfare in collaboration with the Karnataka State Mental Health Authority and NIMHANS, the policy treats excessive screen use as a public health issue rather than just a behavioural problem.
