Bengaluru, July 14 -- Karnataka Government has approved an ambitious Rs 1,010-crore programme to establish 10,000 Bharat Jodo Yuva Sanghas (BJYS) across the state, with each youth body receiving an annual grant of Rs 10 lakh to undertake sports, community development and leadership-building activities.
The scheme, one of the largest state-funded youth mobilisation initiatives in Karnataka, will be implemented across 6,000 gram panchayats and 4,000 urban wards. Of the total outlay, Rs 10 crore has been earmarked for administrative expenses.
