Bengaluru, May 19 -- The Karnataka High Court on Tuesday restrained the Joint Action Committee (JAC) of trade unions affiliated with state-run road transport corporations from proceeding with the indefinite strike proposed from Wednesday over wage revision and pending employee dues.
A vacation bench comprising Justice Suraj Govindaraj and Justice K Manmadha Rao passed the interim order while hearing a petition filed by C Vedavathi, a domestic worker, and HV Sreedhara, a construction worker, who contended that the strike would severely inconvenience commuters across the state.
