Bengaluru, July 1 -- Justice Suraj Govindaraj of the Karnataka High Court on Wednesday recused himself from hearing a batch of petitions challenging the constitutional validity of the Karnataka Platform-Based Gig Workers (Social Security and Welfare) Act, 2025, citing a potential conflict of interest as the petitions had been filed through law firm IndusLaw.
When the matter came up for hearing, Justice Govindaraj noted that the petitions were filed by IndusLaw and remarked, "IndusLaw? Not before us," before declining to hear the case.
