Bengaluru, July 14 -- Karnataka Governor Thaawar Chand Gehlot on Tuesday returned the Lokayukta's request seeking sanction to prosecute former Housing Minister B Z Zameer Ahmed Khan in a disproportionate assets (DA) case, insisting that the anti-corruption watchdog first submit an authenticated English translation of the investigation records.
The Governor sent back the proposal after finding that the investigation report and the majority of supporting documents were in Kannada, Raj Bhavan sources said. The Lokayukta has been asked to translate the records into English and resubmit the file for consideration.
