Bengaluru, April 29 -- A fresh political twist has stirred Karnataka Congress circles after Home Minister G. Parameshwara said that "everyone will welcome it" if AICC president Mallikarjun Kharge is made Chief Minister of the state.
The remark, made in Bengaluru on Wednesday, has added new fuel to already simmering leadership discussions within the ruling party, where speculation over the balance of power between Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar has been periodically resurfacing.
