Bengaluru, July 23 -- Karnataka is set to sharpen its lead in India's semiconductor race, with the state's 200-acre Semiconductor Park at KWIN City near Bengaluru slated to become operational by December, a move expected to accelerate investments, create high-skilled jobs and strengthen the country's chip manufacturing ambitions.
Announcing the development on Thursday, Karnataka Industries Minister MB Patil said the park will serve as a dedicated hub for semiconductor fabrication, packaging, testing and advanced electronics manufacturing, providing an integrated ecosystem for companies across the semiconductor value chain.
