Bengaluru, Sept. 7 -- The Karnataka Cabinet is set to confront two politically sensitive issues - the worsening drought situation and the contentious Kasturirangan report - when it meets on Wednesday, ahead of the three-day special Assembly session beginning September 21.
The Cabinet meeting assumes significance as the government faces mounting pressure over the rainfall deficit, crop losses and demands for relief, while the exclusion of several affected taluks from the drought-hit list has triggered resentment in parts of the State.
