Bengaluru, July 28 -- The much-awaited expansion of the DK Shivakumar-led Karnataka Cabinet entered its decisive phase on Tuesday, with the Congress high command expected to finalise the list of new ministers at a crucial meeting in New Delhi amid intense lobbying by aspirants.

Congress Working Committee (CWC) member and former Chief Minister Siddaramaiah said all decisions on the Cabinet expansion were likely to be taken at a meeting scheduled later in the night.

"There is a meeting tonight. Everything will probably be finalised," Siddaramaiah told reporters in Mysuru. On the date of the swearing-in, he said the announcement would be made by Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar.
