Bengaluru, July 9 -- Karnataka is set to witness another two days of intense monsoon activity, with the India Meteorological Department (IMD) issuing an Orange Alert for seven coastal and Malnad districts, even as it forecast a sharp decline in rainfall across the state from July 11.

According to IMD scientist Dr Latha, heavy to very heavy rainfall is expected over the next 24 hours in Dakshina Kannada, Udupi, Uttara Kannada, Shivamogga, Hassan, Chikkamagaluru and Kodagu districts. Belagavi has been placed under a Yellow Alert, with heavy showers also likely there.
