Panchkula, Aug. 30 -- Four Smart City projects costing nearly Rs 23.67 crore have been completed and opened to the public in Karnal, adding new community, education, sports, childcare, and leisure facilities to the city, according to an official release on Sunday.
Union Minister for Power and Housing and Urban Affairs, Manohar Lal, inaugurated the projects during his visit to Karnal. These include an Rs 11.20-crore community hall, library and sports complex in Sector 33, a Rs 7.24-crore community centre in Sector 32, an observation centre costing about Rs 4.03 crore at the Shakti Colony Complex, and Rs 1.20-crore renovation of Shaheed Udham Singh Park.
