Kangra, Aug. 17 -- Kangra SDM Dr Anjali Garg on Monday held a meeting with officials of various departments to chalk out measures to ease the growing traffic congestion in Kangra town and directed strict action against traffic violations.
Dr Garg said the Municipal Council had been asked to immediately remove encroachments over drains and conduct surprise inspections of Kangra town twice a month.
Challans should be issued to shopkeepers found encroaching on public spaces to ensure hassle-free movement of pedestrians, she said, adding that she would also conduct a surprise inspection of the main market shortly.
