Kangra, July 25 -- Acting swiftly on a demand raised for the convenience of pilgrims during the Shravan Ashtami Fair, the Kangra district administration has launched a special van service to Banganga Ghat within a day of the request being made.
The service was flagged off on Friday by Kangra Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Anjali Garg in collaboration with the Himachal Road Transport Corporation (HRTC) and the Temple Trust.
The demand for transport facilities to Banganga Ghat was raised on Thursday before HRTC Vice-Chairman Ajay Verma, who immediately announced the introduction of a special van service. The facility became operational just a day after the announcement.
