Kolkata, Aug. 14 -- The famed Kalighat Kali Temple will soo get a dedicated police outpost for ensuring the overall safety of its premises and the pilgrims.
A notification in this regard has already been published by Kolkata police Headquarters Lalbazar.
A senior official told The Statesman, "The temple premises and the devotees visiting the Goddess Kali will feel secured from now on." He added that Kolkata Police Commissioner Ajay Nand has taken the initiative and issued a directive regarding this on Thursday night.
This marks the first time Lalbazar has set up a separate police outpost for a religious site.
