Kalaburagi, March 18 -- In a worrying economic signal, the per capita income of Kalaburagi has recorded a decline for the first time, according to the 2025-26 Economic Survey released by the State Planning Department, placing the district at the bottom among all districts in Karnataka.
The survey shows that Kalaburagi's per capita income dropped from Rs 1,45,377 in 2023-24 to Rs 1,44,449 in 2025-26, marking a decline of Rs 928. In contrast, the state's average per capita income stands significantly higher at Rs 3,86,156.
