Kakinada, Oct. 13 -- Kakinada Rural MLA Pantham Nanaji on Tuesday performed Bhoomi Puja for the laying of bituminous (BT) roads in the 50th division at an estimated cost of Rs. 35 lakh under the Kakinada Municipal Corporation's general funds.
Addressing a gathering on the occasion, Nanaji said development and welfare programmes worth Rs. 1,150 crore had been initiated in his constituency over the past two years with the support of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu.
He said development works worth Rs. 68 crore had been taken up in eight wards falling under the Kakinada Municipal Corporation limits.
