New Delhi, May 16 -- Delhi BJP chief Virendra Sachdeva on Friday said that the decision of Delhi High Court Judge Swarna Kanta Sharma to withdraw from hearing the liquor scam case, after initiating criminal contempt proceedings against AAP leaders including Arvind Kejriwal and others in the excise policy case, is a proof of her high judicial and personal ethics.
Sachdeva stated that despite several warnings from Justice Sharma, Kejriwal and other AAP leaders, continued to allegedly misuse social media, making inappropriate allegations against the judge in public speeches. Therefore, to protect her personal and family dignity, she had no option but to file a contempt case against Arvind Kejriwal, Sachdeva stated.
