Bhopal, Sept. 10 -- Justice Alpesh Yashwant Kogje on Thursday took the oath as the new Chief Justice of the Madhya Pradesh High Court.

State Governor Mangubhai Patel administered the oath to Justice Kogje, who has become the 30th Chief Justice of the state.

The oath-taking ceremony was held at the Sandipani auditorium of Lok Bhavan (Governor's House) in Bhopal.

Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav also attended the occasion. State Chief Secretary Ashok Barnwal conducted the oath-taking ceremony. He read out the notification issued by the President appointing Justice Alpesh Yashwant Kogje as the Chief Justice of the Madhya Pradesh High Court.
