Gadchiroli, May 27 -- A Naxal-style death threat letter warning officials of JSW Steel has surfaced in Maharashtra's Gadchiroli district, prompting a police probe.
The letter was reportedly found in the Vateli area of Etapalli taluka, where JSW has recently initiated activities linked to an iron ore mining project.
Written in a format resembling Maoist pamphlets and ending with the phrase "Lal Salaam", the letter warned company officials to immediately stop operations and leave the area, police said.
The incident has raised concerns as discussions over proposed mining projects in Etapalli have intensified in recent days.
However, police officials suspect the letter may be an attempt to create panic rather than an actual Maoist threat.
