Ranchi, Aug. 13 -- The JPSC-JSSC student agitation entered its 20th day on Thursday, with the JPSC-JSSC Reform Morcha denying that it had announced any programme to gherao Chief Minister Hemant Soren's residence.
The Morcha said no such programme had been announced and urged people to avoid misleading reports. It said any future programme would be announced by its spokespersons through a press conference.
The students reiterated that they would not compromise on their demand for a CBI probe into alleged irregularities in recruitment examinations, including the JSSC CGL issue.
Meanwhile, security was strengthened around the Chief Minister's residence and Kanke Road, with several routes barricaded or closed.
