Itanagar, April 30 -- The Department of Border Affairs, Government of Arunachal Pradesh, on Thursday announced the commencement of the Joint Inter-State Boundary (ISB) Survey along the border with Assam in Lower Siang and East Siang districts, with the exercise set to begin in Lower Dibang Valley by May 1.
The survey is being conducted in coordination with the Government of Assam and the Survey of India, and is aimed at scientific, on-ground demarcation of the boundary using geospatial coordinates.
The exercise is being carried out in a phased, stretch-wise manner, pairing Arunachal districts with their counterparts in Assam, including Dhemaji and Tinsukia.
