Hyderabad, July 7 -- A joint enforcement team of the Telangana Prohibition & Excise Department and the Drugs Control Administration (DCA) on Tuesday seized 5.850 kg of N-Benzylpiperazine (BZP), a psychotropic substance, worth an estimated Rs 1.58 crore during a raid at Hyma Synthesis Private Limited in IDA Nacharam, Medchal-Malkajgiri district.
According to an official release, the inspection revealed unauthorised possession and stocking of N-Benzylpiperazine (BZP), a synthetic stimulant notified as a psychotropic substance under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, 1985.
